A kind & compassionate soul

Uncle Goh is a kind soul who is running a shelter for abandoned/unwanted dogs at Tikam Batu, Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia. This former sub-contractor & now jobless man rents a wooden house on a piece of land for the purpose of taking in stray dogs & care for them. He lives together with the dogs, sleeps with them & eats with them. Uncle Goh depends on donation from the public to run the shelter, pay utilities bills & feed the dogs. Sometimes, he has to beg for leftover food from restaurants & hawker stalls when there is no fund from the public. Uncle Goh is a person who will never say “NO” when a dog needs his help. He works tirelessly day and night to care for the dogs at the shelter. Taking care of so many dogs is not an easy task, but it has never become an excuse for him to give up. His deep love for dogs keeps him close with the animals that he devotes his life to raising, caring & protecting stray dogs.
